All about me!

I grew up on a farm in North Cornwall and spent many happy hours in the fields and woods surrounding my childhood home. I studied languages in London and worked in the travel industry for a while before returning to Cornwall and retraining to become a primary school teacher.

The outside world was always calling to me so I studied garden design, garden maintenance and garden history at Duchy College, Cornwall, with the design element taught by Chelsea Gold medal winner John Moreland.

Ash & Bee was established in 2003 and grew from the maintenance of small gardens to the landscape and planting design of high-end new properties in Cornwall.

I relocated to Bristol in Spring 2014 with my photographer husband Mark and our three wonderful children, where I now work as a TV Horticultural Researcher ( BBC The Great Chelsea Garden Challenge; currently Gardeners' World and the RHS Flower Shows).

I also offer garden consultations in the Bristol area.
